Longan plants originate mainly from China and Myanmar. Our nursery provides authentic, high-quality varieties suitable for fruit cultivation and home gardening.
Flowers bloom in April and May, with fruit harvest ready in July and August. This ensures fresh Longan fruits for all seasons.
Each fruit weighs 35–40 grams, grows in clusters, has sweet, juicy flesh, and a tiny seed, making it ideal for consumption or sale.
Brown outer skin with semi-transparent flesh, similar to lychee, stays fresh longer when stored properly.
Optimal growth between 8°C to 48°C. Plants do not survive below 0°C.
Suitable for Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and South India.
Recommended spacing: 15x15 feet or 12x12 feet, about 200–250 plants per acre.
2 years: 10–12 kg/plant, 3–3.5 years: 25–30 kg, 7–8 years: 70–80 kg/plant.
Longan is tastier than lychee, priced ₹200–₹350 per kg, offering profitable returns for farmers.
Thrives in alluvial, black, red, laterite, desert, forest, saline, and peaty soils. Enhance soil with compost, neem cake, and mustard cake.
Drip irrigation is best for sandy or dry soils. Other standard methods also support growth.
Use organic fertilizers like cow dung, chicken compost, vermicompost, mustard cake, and neem cake. Apply insecticide before fertilization.
Mother plants are over 3 years old, ensuring strong, high-quality saplings. Mature plants fruit within 1 year. Free replacement within 3 months if any plant dies.
